My paintings are a tribute to the vast landscapes of rural and coastal Australia, capturing the profound sense of freedom and reverence these spaces inspire. Through my layered approach, I aim to evoke the contemplative quality of the golden hours of the day and the deep connection between land and spirit.
Immersing myself in the environments I paint, I engage all my senses—sketching, taking notes, and photographing the subtle shifts of light and atmosphere. These field studies become the foundation of my studio practice, where I transform memory and experience into textured, emotive compositions.
Working primarily in acrylics, I build my paintings through multiple layers of paint and mediums, applied with brushes, palette knives, and handmade tools. This process creates a rich interplay of color, texture, and depth, inviting the viewer into a landscape that feels both familiar and inviting.
I have held solo exhibitions in Sydney galleries, exhibited at major art fairs, and participated in numerous group shows across regional and metropolitan galleries. I’m represented by Sydney Road Gallery. My work is also sold through The Corner Store Gallery, Satch & Co Gallery, and Brush Artists. I’ve been a finalist in the Hornsby Art Prize, Lethbridge Landscape Prize (Salon), Doyles Art Award, Soho Art Prize, and the Corner Store Everyday group show. Additionally, I was selected for an Australian landscape artist residency. My paintings are held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand, France, the UK, and the US.
I paint commissions for those looking to evoke their memories of places and time through my paintings.
